Do you offer Scalloping trips
Yes! Sportsman Charters offers private scalloping trips during Florida’s annual Gulf Coast scallop season. For 2026, scallop season runs from July 10 through August 18. Scalloping is a fun, family-friendly adventure that combines snorkeling, exploring shallow Gulf waters, and harvesting your own fresh bay scallops. All scallop trips are private and can be booked directly through our website. Due to the short season and high demand, we recommend booking early.
Do I need a fishing license?
No. All required fishing licenses are included on our private fishing charters. We also provide fishing gear, bait, tackle, and safety equipment so you can simply enjoy your day on the water.
What Should I Bring on a Fishing Charter?
We recommend bringing sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, hats, drinks, snacks, and weather-appropriate clothing. If you are planning a sandbar stop after fishing, towels and swimwear are also recommended.
How Far Offshore Do Your Fishing Trips Go?
