As first responders and prior military, our escape was jumping on the boat and heading to an island or fishing for a relaxing day. We realized how impactful and healthy this time away from the chaos of life was, especially in these frontline roles. We wanted to share this with our friends, and to all of the other frontline personnel who protect us. Thus began Sportsman Charters. Owned and operated by a veteran and first responders, our mission is to provide a safe, relaxing, and memorable fishing charters, island charters, and private cruises. We have and will continue to work with 501(c)(3) charity organizations including Wounded Warrior Project, Hook-A-Hero, local licensed mental health professionals, and EMS & Fire Department unions. Together, we are able to provide no-cost charters (private charters or with multiand island adventures for those who may be suffering from service related stressors such as PTSD and could benefit from a relaxing day on the water when referred to us by one of our partners. This is our way of giving back to those who chose a career to protects all of us.
We are veteran and first responder owned and operated, we started our boat charter to give residents and visitors the opportunities to enjoy the waters of Pinellas County and beyond without having to deal with overcrowded commercial charters or the hassle, risk, or fear of trying to rent a boat, especially in unfamiliar territory. We love the calming and therapeutic nature of being on the water, seeing aquatic wildlife, sounds of the waves meeting the shoreline, and simply living in the moment with nature as though you are the only people there. With us living here for over 25 years, navigating the beautiful pristine waterways, we are committed to proving our customers with the highest quality charter cruise or boat tour experience at prices that are affordable for most everyone.

At Sportsman Charters, we strive to cater to the needs of our customers. The boat charter is not about us, it’s about you and your needs. While we do have limits on 6 passengers we have hosted scavenger hunts, proposals, birthdays, bar crawls, bachelor and bachelorette private events, sunset cruises, island cruises including dropping an anchor, setting up our tent and grill, and put out our queen size floating island for sandbar parties, all at prices that beat nearly every other charter or rental company in the area because we truly want to be able for everyone to enjoy these experiences with their friends and family. We strongly advocate for mental health and wellness for all first responders & military (current or prior) and believe that this is a small way that we can give back to this community.
